Day 1 - Marmaris
Arrive to the beautiful resort town of Marmaris at your leisure. You are free to explore Marmaris and it's shops and sights until our welcome dinner together. At our dinner we will go over what you can expect for the week.
Day 2 - Loryma Bay
Today we will board our beautiful yacht, the MedSea ES Canada. This luxe category yacht is well appointed with a large salon and bar area, 2 separate outdoor dining areas, rooftop sunbed deck with 16 sunbeds. All cabins have their own washrooms with walk in showers.
Once settled on the yach we will set sail for Loryma Bay. We will travel at a leisurely pace with stops along the way, never traveling for more than 4 hours a day.
The bay of Loryma is one of the few large bays of the Loryma or Bozburun Peninsula which was known as the Carian Chersonese in antiquity. The clear blue watered bay is surrounded by sparsely wooded hills and mountains; in the north, they rise steeply from the shore. Only at the north-west end of the bay, there are three plains, one of which reaches quite far to the inland. As the mountains, the whole environment of the bay is characterized by little vegetation and bare rocks. By this and its secluded location, combined with the ruins and half wild goats and donkeys, a certain idyll can be ascertained to the bay.
Day 3 - Söğüt / Bozburun
Another relaxing day, sailing our way through the crystal blue water.
Further down the Bozburun Peninsula, Sögüt sprawls down the hillside to a beautiful bay. It is about 3km from the top of the village down to the bay. There is one restaurant at the small harbour jetty, which reputedly serves some of the best calamari in the region.
The restaurant has a small beach to the left. There is a new jetty so is popular with yachts as they stop off on cruises around the peninsula. The village is surrounded by dramatic hills, with hidden gems of fertile valleys as you drive along the winding roads.
Day 4 -Selimiye
This one-time traditional boat-building village is today little more than a lovely waterfront promenade of restaurants, pensions and bars on a calm bay. Another beautiful village in our journey up the Turquoise Coast.
As we make our way to Selimiye we will stop in secluded bays. Enjoy the sights, swim in the clear, warm water or take part in one of the water activities.
Day 5 - Datça
The spindly, 50-mile-long Datça peninsula in Turkey’s Muğla province is a dagger of pure green at the meeting point of the Aegean and the Mediterranean, and is as unsullied as south-west Turkey gets. The ancient Greeks believed Datça to have been created personally by Zeus, so gorgeous are its rocky outcrops and aquamarine waters. The geographer Strabo apparently said: “God sent his beloved creatures to Datça for them to live longer.”
Day 6 - Symi
Symi is a Greek island, part of the Dodecanese island group. It’s known for its beaches, an annual music festival and for the harbor at Symi Town, surrounded by colorful neoclassical houses. On the southwest coast, the 18th-century Monastery of Archangel Michael Panormitis is a major Greek Orthodox pilgrimage site with a Byzantine museum.
Day 7 - Rhodes
Our last stop will be the Greek island of Rhodes. Rhodes, the largest of Greece’s Dodecanese islands, is known for its beach resorts, ancient ruins and remnants of its occupation by the Knights of St. John during the Crusades. The city of Rhodes has an Old Town featuring the medieval Street of the Knights and the castlelike Palace of the Grand Masters. Captured by the Ottomans and then held by the Italians, the palace is now a history museum.
Day 8 - Marmaris
Our last night will be in the harbour at Marmaris. Enjoy your evening in this lively and fun resort town.
